MEO CL 1 (Marine engineer officer class 1) is a certificate issued in accordance with the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watch keeping (STCW) regulation III/2 and III/1
With an MEO CL1 certificate, you can serve as a chief engineer on any vessel where the main propulsion power is of the type indicated on your MEO CL1 certificate of competency.
Syllabus for MEO Class I Certificate includes following topics:
