How to become CAIA Charter Holder:

Pass Levels I & II exams, conducted in March & September.

Hold the equivalent of a US bachelor’s degree and more than one year of professional experience (or alternatively a minimum of four years of professional financial services experience)

Agree to abide by the Membership Agreement, provide two professional references and pay the annual membership
Examination Format:

The Level I & II examination, administered twice annually.

It is a four-hour computer-administered examination.

The format of Level I examination is composed of 200 multiple choice questions.

The format of the Level II examination includes 100 multiple-choice questions in section 1, and three multi-part constructed response (essay-type) questions in section 2.
